The Theory Test
Part 1 - The Multiple Choice Test
The multiple choice part has 100 questions that need to be answered within 2 hours. A pass rate of 85 correct answers (85%) is needed to be successful in the first part of the category D driving licence test.
The delegate can take both parts on the same day or on separate occasions and both parts must be passed before the category D practical test can be taken.
Part 2 - Hazard Perception Test
The hazard perception test is made up of looking at 19 hazard perception clips and ensuring that at least 12 questions are answered correctly.
Once the above two parts of the Theory Test are succesfully passed a vocational category d practical test can be taken.
